COVID-19 Safety Policy

Updated May 2024

Masks are currently optional for in-person, low-risk sessions (see exceptions below). If you feel more comfortable in a mask, your counsellor will be happy to wear one as well. Please just let them know. We have masks in the waiting area.

Your in-person appointment will be moved to a virtual one for any of the following circumstances:

  • you or anyone in your household has active symptoms of cold, flu or Covid;

  • you or anyone in your household has tested positive for Covid in the past 10 days;

  • you have had a known close exposure to Covid in the past few days.

Your counsellor will also let you know and switch to virtual if any of the above apply to them. Depending on the circumstances, it may also be an option to do an in-person session with masks on, in the above situations. Please let your counsellor know in advance of your session if any of these circumstances apply to you so it can be discussed.

Our office is quite spacious. As well, your counsellor will have the window cracked open, and the HEPA air purifier on, for all in-person sessions.

Virtual sessions will always remain an option for those who are immunocompromised, or who need or prefer them for any other reason.
